This is the historic site in Memphis where Martin Luther King Jr. was shot on the balcony. It's not exactly fair that the site where Elvis died receives so much more love than the site where MLK Jr. died, but oh well. At least some folks stopped it from being bulldozed and instead made it into a museum of Civil Rights history. We just did a drive by due to time constraints but it really makes you think how much the country has changed in just a few short decades and who were instrumental in that change.
